Educational part of this Workshop:

In the Ethical Hacking workshop we will offer the participants a week of insightful professional presentations and lab exercises concerning digital security and parties that are legen… wait for it… dary!

The professional part of the event includes the following topics: overview of ethical hacking: pros and cons, dos and don’ts! Security on the web, current issues: phising, cross-site scripting, etc. Wireless security lab: the participants can try what they will have learnt: hacking into wireless networks. We will cover the issues of social skills in hacking, and what can average individuals do to protect their data. And of course we would not miss the classic topic of virus, anti-virus wars!

Social activities of this Workshop:

After this hard work, we provide great leisure opportunities: rockin’ student parties will take place after the lecture sessions and we will have time to discover the city, have a City Rally! As for the weekend a picnic, sports day is planned on a green island on the Danube, close to the city. Not to mention the regular International Night a.k.a. drinks of the world party!

Some official details:

We provided our workshops without any participation fee or such, and we intend to maintain this tradition, therefore we can guarantee 16 places, however we may increase the number of places to 20, according to the success of fund raising. For the sake of our participants, and our credibility in front of the sponsors we ask all of you to consider the date and other conditions before you apply, we would like to avoid late cancellations as many reservations have to be arranged in advance. Still, from those and only those participants who cancel their application later then September 30th, we will ask for a fee of 100 EUR to cover our costs.
