Educational part of this Workshop:
You are going to learn how to protect your computer, yourself and your data. You will find out that just software security sometimes isn’t enough. We will show you how hackers do it and how to protect your data and communications with encryption. There is also going to be a <<gaming da>> in the middle, where you’ll be able to play some retro games like Pac-man, Mario, (C64). Right before the end we will have a contest where you’ll have to show us what you’ve learned during the workshop.

Maribor is the second largest city in Slovenia, with app. 150 000 inhabitants. It is the centre of the north-eastern region of Styria (Štajerska), a city with a remarkable town centre and architecture, a very beautiful park with a tradition, a city placed on the shors of Drava river and under the Pohorje mountain and a popular ski-centre. Maribor has a tradition of wine-making, which is represented my the oldest vine in the world and and an impressive wine cellar, which spreads under the city centre.
Formerly the biggest Yugoslav industrial centre, Maribor today is a university city, which is preorienting to high technology and services. The University of Maribor has approximately 25 000 students, with the Faculty of electrical engineering and computer science as one of its biggest faculties with almost 3000 students. As a student city Maribor offers a rich nightlife, so expect wild parties!
